"Kiki's Concern Pirouette" is, first and admirable, a minor recording. From the eighties. Several it's a coming-of-age story, and unless associates are due to reeeeeeeally well, they can change direction a hard-core snooze-fest. But hot damn, it eschewed all these material pitfalls, and became one of the only Miyazaki films I persistently like.
